Faith and Values:

Shepherds are devoted Christians, deeply rooted in their faith. His/Her teaching philosophy is centered around the Christian principles of love, compassion, and stewardship. She sees education as a means to nurture not only academic excellence but also the spiritual and moral development of his/her students.

Shepherds understand and value that there is a time and place for everything. While collaboration is important, it is also crucial that the learning environment creates spaces where students can learn without distraction. Shepherds are able to facilitate independent learning, and the environment is conducive to this environment. Shepherds are able to keep a clean and organized space.

Shepherds are an advocate for project-based learning, recognizing its ability to engage students in meaningful and collaborative ways. She/he believes that through hands-on projects, students can apply academic concepts to real-world situations, fostering critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

With a love for the outdoors,  Shepherds embraces the idea that nature is a powerful classroom. They incorporate outdoor learning experiences to provide students with a holistic education, connecting them to God’s creation. Whether it’s science experiments in the school garden or literature discussions in a shaded grove, he/she believes in the enriching benefits of learning beyond the classroom walls.

Shepherds seamlessly integrate Christian values into her project-based and outdoor learning initiatives. She sees each project as an opportunity for students to explore how their faith intersects with the world around them. Through thoughtful discussions and reflections, he/she encourages students to see God’s handiwork in both academic subjects and the natural world.

A highly skilled educator,  Shepherds are committed to excellence in teaching. They stay abreast of innovative teaching methodologies, constantly adapting their approach to meet the diverse learning needs of their students. Their classroom is an inclusive and supportive environment where each student is encouraged to discover and develop their unique talents. Educators seek to make all educational endeavors equitable and accessible to all students and consider the whole child.

Known for their warm and caring demeanor,  Shepherds build strong relationships with their students, their families, and their colleagues. She understands the importance of community in a Christian school and fosters an atmosphere of trust and collaboration. Part of this loving community is to seek first to understand.
Beyond the classroom, Shepherds instills a service-oriented mindset in her students. Project learning often involves community service projects, allowing students to apply their knowledge and skills to make a positive impact in the local community, reflecting the Christian value of serving others.

Prayer is an integral part of Shepherd’s daily routine. They start each day with a moment of prayer and reflection, inviting her students to join in if they wish. This spiritual practice provides a foundation for the day’s learning and encourages students to connect their academic pursuits with their faith.
