Inquisitors (PreK & K)

Inquisitors (PreK & K) Overview

Philosophy

At Vita Nova Christian Academy, our Inquisitors program for preschoolers and kindergarteners combines hands-on experiences with structured learning. Our aim is to cultivate curiosity, adventure, and a spirit of discovery, following the principles laid out by Charlotte Mason. Our educators focus on nurturing a passion for learning in each child, stimulating both their intellectual and emotional development.

Our children should love learning and God’s creation is their landscape. Our children have inquisitive minds, we want them to discover and we provide opportunities for realia in the classroom.

We emphasize the development of a well-rounded individual through the pursuit of knowledge, character, and virtue grounded in Biblical truths. We want to lay a solid and broad foundation for future learning, all within a framework appropriate for young learners.

Components of Inquisitors

  • Inquisitors I is our preschool program, and is open to 4 year-olds and 5 year-olds.
  • Inquisitors II is our Kindergarten program, and is open to 5 year-olds and 6 year-olds.*
  • Rich Literary Environment: Classical kindergartens often immerse children in a rich literary environment. This includes exposure to high-quality literature, storytelling, and the great books. The aim is to develop strong language skills, a robust vocabulary, and a love for reading and storytelling from an early age. We also introduce our young learners to foreign languages. Activities and lessons are designed to be suitable for the age and developmental stage of the children, ensuring that learning is both engaging and accessible, as well as captivating the love of learning.
